In November 2018, Mickey Mouse will celebrate his 90th birthday. Of course, Disney wouldn’t let such a milestone birthday pass without a huge celebration. This year, Mickey won’t be having just one party; Disney is throwing a worldwide celebration to mark the occasion. The World’s Biggest Mouse Party will span Disney parks & resorts across the globe in a worldwide celebration of Mickey & Minnie, who shares a November 18th birthday with the Big Cheese.
Walt Disney World
Mickey’s birthday will be celebrated at Walt Disney World in Florida from November 16th – 18th. As part of the celebration, there will be special merchandise, as well as, birthday themed food and beverages. Magic Kingdom guests will be able to celebrate with Mickey during the Move It! Shake It! Dance & Play It! Street Party. Guests will have the opportunity to sing along with the Dapper Dans as they wish Mickey a Happy Birthday. The Rockettower Plaza Stage in Tomorrowland will host a special birthday dance party. The celebration will continue in 2019 as The World’s Biggest Mouse Party comes to Walt Disney World.
On November 18th, a celebration procession featuring some of Mickey’s special friends and the Disneyland Band will begin at it’s a small world. The procession will stop for a special moment at Sleeping Beauty Castle before continuing down Main Street, U.S.A. to Town Square. Disneyland’s celebration will also continue in 2019 as The World’s Biggest Mouse Party comes to the resort.
Disney Cruise Line
Disney Cruise Line will also join in the celebration for Mickey’s 90th birthday. In 2019, The World’s Biggest Mouse Party will set sail aboard Disney Cruise Line.
The World’s Biggest Mouse Party will kickoff in Shanghai Disney on September 15, 2018 as a brand new Mickey-themed float joins the opening ceremony of the Shanghai Tourism Festival. A giant birthday card featuring greetings from Mickey’s friends will be installed near the Storytellers statue at Shanghai Disneyland. From November 16th – 18th, the park will offer special birthday food and merchandise. Guests will have the opportunity to sing Happy Birthday to Mickey prior to the evening’s nighttime spectacular. On November 18th, a special birthday nighttime spectacular will take place at Enchanted Storybook Castle.
Hong Kong Disneyland
As part of The World’s Biggest Mouse Party, Hong Kong Disneyland will have commemorative park tickets on November 18th. Special food, beverages, and merchandise will also be available. The celebration will also feature a hotel room overlay. Guests to Hong Kong Disneyland will special birthday stickers available only on November 18th. A projection show called We Love Mickey will begin November 18th and continue through February 2019.
Tokyo Disney will also celebrate Mickey’s birthday this fall. As part of the celebration, the parks will feature special birthday decorations and merchandise.
Disneyland Paris will also join in the celebration for Mickey’s birthday. The World’s Biggest Mouse Party will come to the resort this fall and continue into winter. The celebration will include new holiday entertainment and other special surprises.
New York City
The Big Apple will also join the celebration as “Mickey: The True Original Exhibition” opens in New York City. This interactive art exhibit will take place November 8, 2018 – February 10, 2019. The pop-up art exhibit is inspired by Mickey’s status as a “true original” and his impact on global pop culture.
