Disney’s All-Star Resorts are a great choice for many families heading to Walt Disney World. They provide great on-property accommodations for the smallest possible price. In addition, the theme of each All-Star provides larger than life fun for adults and children alike.  But with three choices – All-Star Sports, All-Star Music, and All-Star Movies – how do you choose which resort is right for you and your family?

If you have any sports fans in your family, you will definitely want to stay at Disney’s  All-Star Sports Resort. The resort features a larger than life football field, a baseball themed pool, and you can even find Donald Duck trying to play a  game of tennis despite the antics of his three nephews. The All-Star Sports Resort is also the first resort you will come to when arriving at the All-Stars. All three All-Stars share Disney buses, so the this means guests of All-Star Sports will be the first on the buses, making them more likely to get a seat. All-Star Sports guests will also be the first guests to return to their resort after a long day at the Disney parks.

Disney’s All-Star Music Resort is another great choice. As a music lover myself, I love the theme of this resort. The theming of each section is over the top. From giant cowboy boots to Broadway marquees and even a gigantic juke box, there is something for all types of music lovers at the All-Star Music. The pools at the resort are fantastic, as well. In the Calypso section, you will find a guitar shaped pool with the Three Caballeros in the center. Watch out – they will squirt water on you! The piano pool at All-Star Music is equally as fun. As a kid, I always enjoyed walked over the piano keys at the edge of the pool. The All-Star Music is the only All-Star to offer family suites. The suites can sleep up to 6, so if you have a family of more than 4, you will definitely want to choose this resort.

The last of the All-Star Resorts, Disney’s All-Star Movies, has something for each member of your family. With sections devoted to Herbie The Love Bug, Fantasia, Toy Story, and more, the movie lovers are sure to enjoy staying at this wonderful resort. Throughout the grounds of the resort, you will find statues of some of your favorite Disney film stars. Be sure to bring your camera, as these make for great photo opportunities! The Fantasia pool at All-Star Movies is another highlight. You can swim below Sorcerer Mickey as he directs streams of water into the pool.

We have visited each of them, but have only stayed at the All Star Sports resort. Overall it was a great stay. We stayed in the Surfs Up building so we were very close to the pool and to the main building to fill our drink cups.

I’ve stayed at all of them, but I think Sports is my favorite…mainly because of the buses, but also because it feels the most like “home” since I’ve stayed there so many times. The baseball pool is pretty neat! Although, I do love the theme of Music and especially the guitar pool.
