Tiggerific Tuesday Trivia: Liberty Square Restrooms

Liberty Square - Columbia Harbour House

The Disney imagineers put so much detail into Liberty Square. They did everything to make guests feel as if they were really stepping into Colonial America. No detail was too small – not even the restrooms.

Next time you visit Liberty Square, try looking for the restrooms. You won’t find any. Why? Because there was no indoor plumbing back in the days of the colonies! In fact, back in those days sewage was dumped into the streets. I know…very gross! But it’s true.

Have you ever noticed that brown ribbon of pavement running through the street in Liberty Square? That’s meant to be the “sewage” running through the street.

Back to those Liberty Square restrooms we were looking for…you will find restrooms in Columbia Harbour House; however, if you pay close attention, you will notice they are located just over the line for Fantasyland. So technically, the Columbia Harbour House restrooms are located in Fantasyland, not Liberty Square. There are also restrooms in Liberty Tree Tavern; however, those are technically located in Frontierland.

I always love the attention to detail – but it is nice to have a bathroom close by when you need it 🙂 Love the Columbia House one and how they pushed it into Fantasyland, I wondered why it was tucked back there. Thanks for the trivia!

I agree! I’m just amazed they tried to make it as accurate as possible – even down to the lack of restrooms!

Disney’s attention to detail is amazing and the more learn about the parks, the more I love them! Great trivia this week!

Thanks! When people ask me why I love Disney so much, I tell them two things – the attention to detail and the magic. Although, in my opinion, the attention to detail is a lot of what makes the magic.

Me too! It’s so gross, but at the same time I love that they included that detail!
