Tiggerific Tuesday Trivia: It’s A Small World

It's A Small World

If you’ve visited the It’s A Small World attraction at a Disney park, you’ve probably noticed that many of the buildings throughout the attraction have  beautiful spinning golden toppers. These toppers were modeled after the earrings of imagineer Leota Toombs (known for her performance as the Haunted Mansion’s Madame Leota). Leota Toombs would often wear elaborate jewelry. When designing It’s A Small World, the imagineers thought her earrings would make a great addition to the architecture of the attraction. Many of the gold toppers are exact large-scale reproductions of her earrings.

Wow, I didn’t know that. Who would have thought giant spinning earrings would look so good on a building.

I know! Imagineers find inspiration in some of the strangest things…and it always looks good!

I didn’t know that!! LOVE that trivia!

Wow – how interesting. I had no idea!

I just found out the other day and thought it was so interesting!

I have never heard that before….but now that I have, I could definitely see how those designs could have come from jewelry! Great trivia!
