Tiggerific Tuesday Trivia: Disneyland’s First Ticket

Roy Disney Disneyland's First Ticket

When Disneyland opened in 1955, thousands of guests showed up to experience Disney’s new theme park. In fact, twice the number of expected guests showed up at the park. But do you know who purchased Disneyland’s first ticket?

While the first ticket to many other parks, including Magic Kingdom and Epcot, was provided to the Disney Archives, the first ticket to Disneyland was actually sold. Ticket number one was purchased by Walt Disney’s brother, Roy.

Thanks to Jodi at Magical Mouse Schoolhouse, Heidi at Heidi’s Head, Mike at My Dreams of Disney, and Jenn at Disney Babies Blog for hosting the Tiggerific Tuesday Trivia blog hop!

Well he didn’t ask me, I would have bought it. Oh yeah I wasn’t born yet, that’s why.

That is so cool! I didn’t realize that! I’d love to have one of those original tickets.

Me too! I’d settle for even getting to see some of them at the Disney Archives!
