
On April 22, 2018 a brand new experience will land in Pandora – The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The new Pandora Utility Suit, a 4.2 ton mechanical suit, is inspired by the Amplified Mobility Platform (AMP) suits from the movie Avatar.

With new offerings at each of the four parks, summer 2018 is shaping up to be an Incredible Summer at Walt Disney World Resort.

Walt Disney World is a wonderful place to celebrate Valentine’s Day. 2018 is already proving to be a great year for Walt Disney World! We’ll soon have new attractions to enjoy and, of course, some of our favorites will soon shine like new as refurbishments are completed. If your family will be heading to Walt Disney World Resort soon, you’ll want to be aware of the scheduled refurbishments which may affect your visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth.

Just after dinner on a hot July evening, we headed toward the exit for Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The sun hadn’t set yet, but the park would soon be closing. There would be no fireworks show at the park, as the loud booms were certain to terrify the animals we had seen on Kilimanjaro Safaris earlier in the day.

The plan for the day was to visit Animal Kingdom and then park hop to Disney’s Hollywood Studios to see the new Star Wars fireworks show; however, after five hours of visiting many of our favorite Animal Kingdom attractions, we decided it would be fun to visit Magic Kingdom for a while. So we headed to the bus stop, only to watch the Magic Kingdom bus pull away as we walked.

There are quite a lot of exciting things in the works for Disney’s Animal Kingdom! The first new experience for Animal Kingdom will be the Rivers of Light show which is scheduled to open in Spring 2016. This show will take place in front of the Tree of Life on Discovery River, between Discovery Island and Expedition Everest. Two mystical hosts will come to the river, bringing their gifts of light.

Since opening in 2006, Expedition Everest has been thrilling guests of Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
