Important Dates for Your Disney Cruise Line Vacation

Important Dates for Your Disney Cruise Line Vacation - Disney Dream at Castaway Cay

You’ve decided to go on a Disney Cruise Line vacation and will soon be sailing the high seas with Mickey and friends! But before you set sail, there is still a lot of planning left to do. Much like Walt Disney World, a Disney Cruise Line vacation has its share of important dates to remember when planning your vacation. You’ll need to book excursions and other activities such as specialty dining, kids club, and spa treatments. Because many of the activities available during your cruise are very popular, you’ll want to book your activities as soon as possible.

Disney Cruise Line allows prior guests the benefit of booking their cruise activities early, based on the number of prior sailings the guest has completed. Upon completion of their first Disney cruise, guests become members of the Castaway Club. Silver, Gold, and Platinum members are able to book their cruise activities on different dates determined by their Castaway Club membership level. It is important to note, your cruise must be paid in full prior to booking any activities.

Platinum Castaway Club Members

Guests who have completed 10 or more prior Disney sailings are Platinum Castaway Club Members. These guests are at the highest level of the Castaway Club and have the benefit of booking cruise activities before everyone else. Platinum Castaway Club Members can book specialty dining such as Palo or Remy, shore excursions, kids club, and spa treatments at 120 days prior to the sailing date.

Gold Castaway Club Members

Guests who have completed between 5 to 9 prior Disney sailings are Gold Castaway Club Members. Gold Castaway Club Members can book specialty dining such as Palo or Remy, shore excursions, kids club, and spa treatments at 105 days prior to the sailing date.

Silver Castaway Club Members

Guests who have completed between 1 to 4 prior Disney sailings are Silver Castaway Club Members. Silver Castaway Club Members can book specialty dining such as Palo or Remy, shore excursions, kids club, and spa treatments at 90 days prior to the sailing date.

First Time Cruisers

First time Disney cruisers are not yet members of the Castaway Club. First timers can book specialty dining such as Palo or Remy, shore excursions, kids club, and spa treatments at 75 days prior to the sailing date. Because first time Disney cruisers are the last group of guests to book activities, it is very important to book your activities right at the 75 day mark.

Other Important Disney Cruise Line Dates

Disney Cruise Line has a number of other important dates, such as final payment due date and cancellation deadlines, which are different based on variables such as length of your cruise, departure port, and time of year. These variable important dates are just one of many reasons I highly recommend booking your Disney cruise with our preferred travel partner, Park World Travel.
