Fastpass To History: John Lennon & The Polynesian

John Lennon Polynesian

On December 29th, 1974, Disney’s Polynesian Resort became a part of rock ‘n roll history. The Beatles stopped performing together in 1970. However, it wasn’t until nearly four years later that they were able to finalize the paperwork to dissolve the band. John Lennon was the last of The Beatles to sign this paperwork. In 1974, while he was vacationing at Walt Disney World, the finalized paperwork was delivered to him. At Disney’s Polynesian Resort, John Lennon added his signature to the bottom of a page, officially ending one of the greatest rock ‘n roll bands of all time.

I love the Beatles and I love this story! I remember Lou Mongello actually interviewed May Pang about it which is a pretty awesome score for an interview. Thanks for the tidbit!
