Easter 2018 at Walt Disney World

Easter is less than a week away and the celebration has already begun at Walt Disney World. If you’ll be visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth for Easter, you’ll want to take in some of the special Easter festivities at the parks and resorts.

Meet The Easter Bunny

Guests visiting Magic Kingdom now through April 1, 2018 can meet Mr. & Mrs. Easter Bunny at the Magic Kingdom. The bunnies will be greeting guests in Town Square Courtyard, which has been renamed Bunny Lane Garden for the occasion. PhotoPass photographers will be on hand to capture your special moment with Mr. & Mrs. Easter Bunny.

Decorated Easter Eggs

Each year, the resorts at Walt Disney World host beautiful displays of decorated chocolate Easter Eggs. For 2018, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney’s Beach Club, and Disney’s Contemporary Resort are hosting chocolate sculpted Easter Egg displays. The pastry teams at each of these resorts has crafted and painted gorgeous chocolate eggs inspired by Disney characters. The largest display this year can be found at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Disney’s Contemporary Resort has the smallest Easter egg display this year.

Egg-Stravaganza Scavenger Hunt

The always popular Egg-Stravaganza Scavenger Hunt is back for the 2018 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. Though April 1, guests visiting the festival will have the opportunity to search around World Showcase for Easter eggs resembling beloved Disney characters. As guests find the eggs, they will mark their discovery on their Egg-Stravaganza map with a sticker. Maps and stickers are available for $5.99 plus tax at Disney Trader, Pin Central, and World Traveler. Once all of the eggs are found and marked on the map, guests can return it for a special surprise.

Easter Parade

On March 31 and April 1, a special Easter pre-parade will take place 20 minutes prior to Festival of Fantasy at Magic Kingdom. The Easter processional will feature the Easter Bunny, as well as, other springtime Disney characters. Be sure to check the Times Guide on the day of the parade, as these times are subject to change.

Easter Treats

A few locations around Walt Disney World have special Easter themed desserts. The Main Street Bakery at Magic Kingdom is serving an adorable springtime cupcake topped with spring flowers. In Epcot, Fountain View is serving an adorable marshmallow filled chocolate cupcake featuring bunny feet and a bunny tail. Sunshine Seasons is serving a chocolate-caramel mousse filled chocolate chip cupcake with jelly beans on top.

Easter Services

If you would like to attend Easter services while visiting Walt Disney World, Disney will be holding services in the Fantasia Ballroom at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Catholic Mass will be held at 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. A Protestant service will be held at 9:15 a.m. Guests staying at monorail resorts should use monorail or watercraft to get to the Contemporary. Guests staying at other resorts should take a bus to Magic Kingdom and then transfer to a bus going to the Contemporary, available after 7 a.m. The parking lots at the Contemporary, Grand Floridian, and Polynesian Resorts will be operating with restrictions.
