Snow White Soundtrack

Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs was an historic Disney film for many reasons. It was the first full-length animated film and the success of the film was critical to the future of the company. In addition to these well known historical facts, the film was also a first in the world of sound recordings. Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs was the first film to have its soundtrack commercially released. In January of 1938, the soundtrack was released under the name Songs From Walt Disney’s Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs (With The Same Characters And Sound Effects As In The Film Of That Title). The title is quite a mouthful, but perhaps since film soundtracks had never been released before they felt the need to explain exactly what was featured on this album.
